Box Score 2 SURPRISE, Ariz. -- OUAZ Baseball (14-27-1) dropped both games against Westmont Friday evening.Â
GAME ONE
The Spirit fell in the first game by the score of 10-3. Kapono Rawlins got the start and tossed a quality five innings, allowing five runs. The senior was credited with the loss.
The Warriors got their first runs of the game in the third, on a double play and an RBI single.
OUAZ knocked their way into the run column in the sixth on a Nathan Tarver 2-run blast into left-center. It was Tarver's third of the season.
Nicholas Lustig and Sergio Alfaro swung the bat well, each recording three hits and a walk.
GAME TWO
The Spirit jumped on the Warriors quickly, with four consecutive singles in the bottom half of the first to take a 1-0 lead, but Westmont worked out of the jam with three consecutive strikeouts with the bases loaded.
Warriors had back-to-back three-run innings in the fourth and fifth to propel them over OUAZ in the night cap of the doubleheader. The final was 7-2.Â
Luke Tedrick got the start for Tim Montez, the lefty threw a solid four innings while only allowing three runs, but still earned the loss.Â
OUAZ will have senior day tomorrow to wrap up conference play, with first pitch at 11:05 AM. Live stream and live stats will be available.
