Baseball Game Notes -- Week 10

The OUAZ baseball team hosts No. 14 Hope International in a four-game GSAC series this weekend in Surprise Stadium. The teams will play a 9/7 doubleheader on both days. The action begins at 11 a.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

OUAZ enters the series with a 17-24 overall record. The Spirit sits seventh in the GSAC with an 8-15 conference record. They have gone 9-8 at home during the season.

OUAZ is batting .250 with a .734 OPS. The team is scoring 5.78 runs on 7.76 hits per game. They have scored in double figures 11 times and had 10-plus hits in a game nine times. The 35 home runs are a new single-season program record, and they have hit three-plus homers in a game six times.

Adrian Salazar is having an All-American type season with 58 hits and a .387 average. Salazar leads the GSAC with 14 home runs and a 1.186 OPS while ranking fifth in average and with 41 RBIs. He has 19 games with multiple hits and 12 with multiple RBIs to go with five multi-home run games.
