Women’s Tennis Defeated by NCAA DI Idaho State

SURPRISE, Ariz. – One day after picking up a win over Colorado State – Pueblo, the OUAZ women's tennis team fell to NCAA DI foe Idaho State 5-2 at the Surprise Tennis Complex.

OUAZ (7-7) earned its first point with a No. 2 singles win from Johanna Sotelo-Mena. She would take the first set 6-4 and then earned the win when her opponent retired in the second set.

Giulia Leali closed the day by winning the No. 1 singles match. After dropping the first set 6-1, Leali won the second set 6-4 and the third set tiebreak 10-6.

The Spirit's busy week continues on Wednesday when they face The College of Idaho at 4 p.m. at the Surprise Tennis Complex.
