THIS WEEK FOR @OUAZMSOC
>>> The Ottawa University Arizona men's soccer team will play a pair of games at Spirit Field this weekend after opening the season last week on the road. On Thursday, the University of Southwest (N.M.) will be in town to open the OUAZ home schedule. Saturday's game will welcome Antelope Valley to the OUAZ turf. Both games this week will start at 8 p.m. and follow a women's game between the same two schools.
HOW TO FOLLOW

AGAINST THE OPPOSITION
>>> Thursday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between the Spirit and Southwest. It is also the first OUAZ game against a team from the Red River Conference.
>>> OUAZ leads the all-time series against Antelope Valley 1-0 after a 2-1 win over the Pioneers last September in Lancaster, California.
ABOUT THE SPIRIT
>>> The Spirit enter the week coming off a 4-2 win at Embry-Riddle last Friday. The team twice fell behind before scoring the final three goals of the game to secure the road victory. In the win, OUAZ attempted 13 shots – eight on goal – and they took five corner kicks while making six saves.
>>>

>>>
Mauricio Ochoa also took two shots with one goal in the win. OUAZ added goals from
Samuel George and
Eduardo Soriano III in the victory.
FULL SLATE AT SPIRIT FIELD
>>> OUAZ will look to establish a home field advantage as they will play 10 games at Spirit Field this season after just two appearances on the home turf last year.
>>> The home slate of games includes four of the team's eight GSAC contests. All four of the home conference games will be played in October during a three-week stretch.
>>> The Spirit will play their first home game of the season next Thursday, August 23, when they host University of the Southwest at 8 p.m. OUAZ also has a home contest against Antelope Valley on August 24 at 8 p.m.
SPIRIT NOTES
>>> Friday's win marks the first time in school history that the Spirit overcame a halftime deficit to secure a win. It snapped a streak of six straight losses when the team trailed after 45 minutes of action.
>>> It was also the program's first-ever win when the opposition scored two or more goals in a game. Last season, OUAZ was 0-7 in games they allowed at least two goals.
>>> OUAZ improved to 4-0 all-time when they get a goal from Soriano. He scored the game-winning goal on Friday and now has two game-winners in his career at OUAZ.
>>>
