SURPRISE, Ariz. — Despite controlling much of the first half, the Spirit fell 0-4 to the Arizona Christian Redhawks in a challenging GSAC contest.
The Spirit opened the match with confidence, maintaining possession and pushing the pace early. However, despite several promising looks, they couldn't find the back of the net. Arizona Christian broke through in the 15th minute with a well-placed free kick, giving them the early edge heading into halftime.
The second half saw the Redhawks take control of the match, adding goals in the 62nd, 69th, and 87th minutes to extend their lead. While the Spirit continued to battle until the final whistle, they were unable to convert their chances, ending a tough night against a strong conference opponent.
