OUAZ Football Names Timm Rosenbach as Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach

Surprise, Ariz.-- OUAZ Football has announced the hiring of Timm Rosenbach as the program's Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach, bringing a wealth of experience as both a longtime collegiate coordinator and former head coach at multiple levels of football.

Rosenbach joins OUAZ following his tenure at Cal Poly, where he served as Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach through the 2025 season. Prior to his time with the Mustangs, he spent more than a decade coaching across the FCS landscape, including impactful stops at UNLV and within the Big Sky Conference at Montana. At Montana, he served as a Senior Offensive Analyst and Director of High School Relations, helping the program sustain national success with multiple top-15 FCS finishes.

"Coach Rosenbach is an absolute home run for our program, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome him to OUAZ," said Head Coach Reilly Murphy, "His track record and career accolades speak for themselves. I've known Coach for years, and I feel truly blessed to have him join us as we continue to build on the special opportunity we have here in Surprise. His faith, character, and commitment to developing young men off the field fit seamlessly with our mission of building champions in faith and in life."

A former Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback at Washington State and NFL veteran, Rosenbach brings a deep offensive background to the Spirit program. He finished seventh in the 1988 Heisman Trophy voting after setting multiple single-season school records, including total offense (3,422 yards), passing yards (3,097), and touchdown passes (24), earning All-America honorable mention honors.

Rosenbach began his coaching career in 1999 as a quarterbacks coach at NAIA St. Ambrose after nearly a decade in the NFL. He went on to build an extensive résumé across multiple levels of college football, including offensive coordinator roles at Eastern Washington, New Mexico State, and UNLV. While at Eastern Washington (2001–2002), he coordinated one of the nation's top offenses, leading the FCS in total offense in 2001 with 514.5 yards per game. At UNLV, he helped guide the program to a bowl appearance and one of the most productive offenses in school history.

He later served as head coach at Adams State (2015–2017), where he oversaw one of the most dramatic comebacks in NCAA history, rallying from a 42–6 second-quarter deficit to defeat Western State 52–51 in double overtime.

A Washington State graduate with a bachelor's degree in social sciences, Rosenbach has built a career defined by offensive innovation, quarterback development, and competitive success. He has two daughters.
