OUAZ's women's volleyball program added another milestone to its exceptional 2025 campaign as Middle Blocker Jessica Pearce and Libero Amey Rainaud were both named NCCAA First Team All-Americans, further solidifying their standing among the nation's top performers. Their selections cap a 23-5 season for the Spirit, who relied heavily on the consistency, competitiveness, and leadership each player brought to the court. Pearce and Rainaud were also named to the NCCAA West All-Region Team, with Pearce earning the prestigious title of NCCAA West Region Player of the Year after a dominant all-around season.
Pearce was one of the most efficient attackers in the country, finishing the year with 237 kills while hitting an impressive .386 at the net. She also anchored the Spirit's defensive presence with 105 blocks, showcasing her impact on both sides of play. Her standout performances throughout the season earned her multiple NCCAA Player of the Week honors, reflecting the consistency and high-level production she delivered from start to finish.
Rainaud emerged as one of the top defensive specialists in the NCCAA, totaling 490 digs on the season while also contributing 40 service aces to help spark the Spirit's transition game. Her reliability in serve-receive and her ability to change momentum with well-timed aces made her one of OUAZ's most valuable assets throughout the year.
Together, Pearce and Rainaud's achievements highlight the depth and talent of the OUAZ roster and serve as a strong testament to the program's continued growth on the national stage. Their All-American honors mark a fitting conclusion to a highly successful season for the Spirit.
