San Diego, Calif. - The OUAZ track squads competed in the PLNU Collegiate Invitational at Point Loma Nazarene University, where several Spirit athletes posted personal records or seasons bests.

"We had a great day," notes head coach Kyle Will. "It's been a while since we had so many personal records or season bests be set in one event. Hopefully this sets us up for the rest of the season." Among the athletes setting new marks set on Saturday were:

Juan Bolanos in the 1500 Meter Run (4:30.12)

Abby Theis in the 800 Meter Run (2:33.15)

Alyssa Walllberg in the 100 Meter Run (14.51)

Sadie Ward in the Shot Put  (8.98m)

Sadie Ward finished 5th in the Discus (34.45m)

Sadie Ward in the Hammer Throw (27.55m)

Jacey Danks in Discus finished 15th (25.9m)

Anastazia Uwingenneye in Shot Put (8.48m and Javelin (29.07m)

Ryan Fimbres finished 10th in 200 Meter Run (22.58) and 6th in the 400 Meter Run (50.29)

Michael Reshard in the 800 Meter Run - 2:03.70

The teams will travel back to San Diego in two weeks at the Triton Invitational, April 7-8.
