2022 Women's Soccer Notes -- Week 4

The OUAZ women's soccer team brings its busy opening stretch of games to a close with a pair of home games at Spirit Field. The week begins with an 8 a.m. contest against Antelope Valley on Wednesday. The Spirit then hosts College of Idaho on Friday at 7 p.m.

OUAZ sits at 6-1 this season and starts the week riding a five-game winning streak, one behind the program record. They are 2-0 at home and are unbeaten in 16 straight games at Spirit Field dating back to the 2018 season.

Entering the week, OUAZ averages 3.14 goals per game, ranking 40th in the NAIA. They are 13th in the country by averaging 3.14 assists per game. The team attempts 16.43 shots per game and puts 60 percent on goal. The Spirit has scored a goal in 14 consecutive games.

Haley Howard has three goals and two assists to rank third on the team with eight points. She is also third with 11 shots and eight shots on goal.

Haley Chitwood leads the team with four assists, where she ranks ninth in the NAIA. She has also scored two goals to total six points.

Carli Calzaretta has made 11 saves in her three starts for a .846 save percentage. She is 3-0 with a 0.80 goals-against-average and one shutout.

Chloe Gutierrez has 13 saves with a .812 save percentage. She has won all three of her starts with a 1.20 GAA and one shutout.
