OUAZ Bounces Back to Down Firebirds

GLENDALE, Ariz. – After dropping a tough match on Friday, the OUAZ men's tennis team responded with a 4-0 win over Saint Katherine on Saturday morning at the Paseo Tennis Center.

OUAZ (8-5, 5-2 GSAC) got off to a fast start by winning the doubles point using wins from the ones of Austin Todd & Michael Loyd and the twos of Liam Spiers & Bryce Bodak.

Gianmarco Pitotti scored the Spirit's first point in singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 win in the No. 6 singles. Spiers followed with a 6-2, 6-1 win in the No. 2 singles match to put OUAZ on the brink of winning.

The clinching point came from court three, where Bodak secured a 6-2, 6-1 victory.

OUAZ closes the regular season on Tuesday when they host Arizona Christian at the Surprise Tennis Complex at 3 p.m.
