2022 Women's Soccer Notes -- Week 10

The OUAZ women's soccer team will travel to Glendale on Friday to play Arizona Christian at 5:45 p.m. in the final game of the regular season.

OUAZ enters the game at 10-3-2 overall and second in the GSAC with 14 points and a 4-1-2 conference record. The Spirit can clinch a top-two finish and a bye to the final site of the conference tournament with a win and a loss or tie by Menlo on Saturday. They are 6-0-1 on the road this season.

With one game remaining in the regular season, OUAZ is the leader in the GSAC with 40 goals and 36 assists. They are second in the conference by averaging 2.67 goals per game. The Spirit takes 14.33 shots per game and puts 54.4 percent of those on goal.

OUAZ allows 1.20 goals per game while giving up 10.2 shots per game. Spirit keepers have totaled 63 saves with a .778 save percentage and three shutouts.

Saipress Jones leads the team with eight goals and 19 points. She ranks fifth in the conference in both categories. Jones is the OUAZ all-time leader in goals scored and points; she needs four points to reach 100 for her career.

Cassidi Calzaretta leads the GSAC with six assists, and she has added five goals for 16 points. Calzaretta is 46th in the NAIA with three game-winning goals, and she is the OUAZ all-time leader in the category with 12.

Anabella Bara scored twice at William Jessup and now has six goals on 22 shots. One of her two goals at Jessup was her second game-winner of the season.

Haley Howard has four goals and three assists to rank fourth on the team with 11 points.

Haley Chitwood has recorded five assists which places her second in the GSAC. Chitwood has also scored two goals for nine total points.

Akela Patterson leads the OUAZ keepers with 614 minutes, where she has made 24 saves with a .727 save percentage.

Chloe Gutierrez has a team-best 25 saves and five wins with a 1.23 goals-against-average.
