After its first loss of the season, the OUAZ women's soccer team is looking to bounce back and keep pace in the GSAC East race. They head to Santa Clarita, Calif. for its third matchup with The Master's this season.

With the Spirit being the latest team to be engulfed in Life Pacific's five-game win streak, the two schools are tied at the top of the division. The Spirit currently have the advantage due to goal differential, but both teams will have to keep pace with each other down the stretch.

OUAZ has yet to lose to The Master's this season, but have only prevailed victorious in one of the two previous matchups. The Spirit relinquished a 2-0 lead that eventually ended in a 2-2 tie on January 16, before winning 3-1 in official conference play on March 4.

The Spirit have found the back of the net plenty of times, scoring a GSAC-leading 20 goals this season. Last Thursday's 2-1 loss was the first time the Spirit did not score two or more goals in a game, and the 2.9 goals per game is ranked 33rd in the NAIA.

The goals being scored are not individual efforts as well. OUAZ averages 2.1 assists per game (28th best in the NAIA), and have two of the conference's top five assist leaders. Cassidi Calzaretta ranks first in the GSAC with five assists, while Paige Murray-Hernandez is ranked fourth with three helpers.

Haley Howard has been scoring in bunches for the Spirit, recording a goal in all but one conference game this season. She has also posted two multi-goal games this season, and is currently on a three-game goal streak.

Goaltending has seen a large improvement this season, as OUAZ has two of the top three save percentages in the conference. Cassidy Samuelson sits in second place, and Chloe Gutierrez is just .003 points behind her as they combine for the best tandem in the GSAC.
