Box Score The OUAZ men's tennis team hit the road for its first road match of the season, but unfortunately for OUAZ they could not find a different result from its first home matchup. The Spirit were did not earn a point in during its 7-0 defeat to Concordia University (Calif.) on Friday.

To start the day, the doubles point went to the Eagles as they defeated the Spirit 2-1 in pairs play. Austin Todd/Alan Vasquez's victory over Patrick Wong/Marlon Wilken was the only matchup, doubles or singles, OUAZ won all day.

Singles competition did not treat OUAZ well at all for the second consecutive match, as each of the six OUAZ players to compete individually lost in straight sets. Todd and Tim Schlum each took two points in the first set of their respective matches, but were unable to find the momentum and carry it into the second set.

The Spirit will get a chance to get into the win column on Saturday as they head to Claremont, Calif. OUAZ will face another tough test against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, who has a 3-0 start to its 2020 campaign.
