SURPRISE, ARIZ. - OUAZ women's soccer is off to a great start this season, and the team is looking to add to it this week.
The Spirit wrap up non-conference play this week as they travel to California to play a pair of games. Head coach
Skelly Kellar wants to see his team locked in.
"We need to go [to California] and be focused, not take anybody lightly," Kellar said.
OUAZ has played opponents from four different states so far this season. The variety in competition can help the budding program get the attention from the rest of the NAIA.
"It's massive, as far as the national scale," Kellar said. "In order to get recognized by the good team, you have to go play the good teams."
THIS WEEK FOR WOMEN'S SOCCER
The Spirit will face Soka on Thursday at 7:00pm, then head over to Lancaster, Calif. to take on Antelope Valley on Saturday afternoon.

NOTABLE QUOTABLE
"Soka has a better team…so we need to go into the game knowing it's going to be a battle. Antelope Valley has played kind of a GSAC schedule so far, and they've done pretty well. They're going to be a scary team, a team that you can't overlook." – Kellar, when discussing the opponents his team will face on the road trip.
