OUAZ women's soccer's record-setting season is not over just yet. They will play in the program's first postseason home game on Saturday.
The Spirit host Hope International on Saturday for the first round of the GSAC tournament. OUAZ qualified for the fourth seed in its first year of NAIA postseason eligibility.
It was a high-scoring affair between the two teams in the only meeting this season. The Spirit erased two separate deficits, and
Sarah Inafuku scored the long-range winner in overtime.
Inafuku, along with
Saipress Jones and Kii Aweau were named to the all-GSAC team on Wednesday. Â It was the first time in program history three players made the all-conference team.
Jones finished the regular season as the conference's leader in points (33) and assists (9). She finished second in the conference in goals with 12.
While Inafuku, Jones, and Aweau got the accolades, the team is very well balanced. They have 18 different players who scored a goal, and 22 players have recorded at least a point.
The team was stout all season long as well. They allowed only 27 goals, and finished the regular season with a plus-25 goal differential. Goaltender
Krysten Caballero recorded six shutouts, setting a new program record.

Kickoff from Spirit Field is scheduled for Noon Arizona time. Becuase the game is part of the GSAC Tournament, spectators will beed to purchase a ticket to attend the game. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, student, and military. They will be on sale at the Spirit Field ticket window (cash ony) starting at 11 a.m.Â
