SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's soccer team opens its trip to the 2018 NCCAA Division I Women's Soccer National Championship on Monday with a pool play game against Campbellsville at 12:30 p.m. MST. OUAZ enters the game as the No. 4 seed at the tournament while Campbellsville is the No. 5 seed.
The Spirit are playing in Pool A in their second trip to the National Championship. After Monday's game, they will play Columbia International on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. MST and Trinity Christian on Thursday at 10 a.m. MST. The winner of Pool A will play the winner of Pool B for the title on Saturday at 3 p.m. MST.
All of the games of the NCCAA National Championship will be played at the Austin-Tindall Soccer Complex in Kissimmee, Fla. All 13 games will be broadcast live ($6.95) on the NCCAA Network and each will have live stats available. The NCCAA Network is available at the web address

OUAZ made the trip to Kissimmee, Fla. with an 11-5-2 overall record. They haven't played a game since October 27 and ended the season winless in four outings. The Spirit placed fifth in the Golden State Athletic Conference with 11 points at 3-3-2.
Sydnee Busby enters the National Championship fifth in the NCCAA by scoring 2.39 points per game. She is eighth in the NCCAA by averaging 0.94 goals per game. Busby recorded at least one points in each of the team's first 15 games this season and she had multiple goals in a game three times.
As a team, OUAZ averages 2.72 goals per game – eighth in the NCCAA – and they had six games this season with at least three goals. The Spirit are attempting 15.9 shots per game with 56.1 percent of them on goal.
OUAZ opponents scored 20 goals during the year and the Spirit have a team goals-against-average of 1.08. The team posts a 79.2 save percentage and they posted nine shutouts.
The Spirit will play at the National Championship having never faced any of the other seven teams in the field.
