Moapa, Nev.-- The OUAZ men's and women's golf teams competed at the Coyote Springs Invite at Coyote Springs Golf Club, with the Spirit men capturing the team title and the women recording a top-three finish in a strong showing for both programs.
The OUAZ men claimed first place out of 10 teams with a three-round total of 873 (+9). Liam Toole led the way, tying for first individually with a four-under total of 212 to pace the championship effort. The Spirit placed three additional golfers inside the top five, as Olivier Van Goor, Tytan Birchell, and Hayden Hah each tied for fourth at 219 (+3). Grant Greazel added a 12th-place finish at 227 (+11), while Nick Erickson rounded out the lineup with a tie for 21st at 232 (+16), giving OUAZ the depth needed to secure the tournament victory.
On the women's side, the Spirit finished third out of eight teams with a team score of 993 (+129). Chiara Israng posted OUAZ's top individual finish, tying for sixth at 239 (+23). Alayna Lekkerkerk followed in 11th at 244 (+28), while Macie Doherty placed tied for 16th at 253 (+37). Jenney Kim Song finished tied for 19th at 258 (+42), and Anne Van Hemert and Jesi Odom both tied for 30th at 273 (+57) to complete the Spirit lineup.
The OUAZ women will return to action March 2–3 at the OUAZ Women's Invite at Laughlin Ranch Golf Club in Bullhead City, Arizona. The Spirit men will next compete March 9–10 at the Carey Collegiate Invite in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, hosted at Canebrake Country Club.
