Jekyll Island, Ga.-- The OUAZ men's and women's golf teams were back in action at the Coastal Georgia Invite, held at the Jekyll Island Golf Club's Great Dunes Course, competing against deep fields on a challenging coastal layout.
The OUAZ men's team turned in a strong performance, finishing second out of 17 teams with a total score of 881 (+17). Tytan Birchell led the Spirit with a top-five finish, tying for fifth individually at 218 (+2). Liam Toole also placed inside the top 10, tying for seventh at 220 (+4). Nick Erickson followed with a tie for 15th at 223 (+7), while Hayden Hah finished tied for 18th at 224 (+8). Olivier Van Goor rounded out the lineup with a tie for 39th at 229 (+13) as the Spirit remained in contention throughout the event.
On the women's side, OUAZ placed 10th out of 15 teams with a combined score of 637 (+61). Jenney Kim Song led the Spirit with a strong showing, tying for 11th individually at 152 (+8). Anne Van Hemert finished 40th at 161 (+17), while Alayna Lekkerkerk and Chiara Israng both tied for 45th at 162 (+18). Macie Doherty completed the scoring with a tie for 60th at 171 (+27).
Up next, the Spirit will return home to host the OUAZ Spring Invite at Coyote Springs Golf Club in Moapa, Nevada.
