RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The OUAZ Spirit women's basketball team faced a challenging matchup against the La Sierra Eagles, staying competitive early before the Eagles gradually built separation. Despite offensive struggles in stretches, the Spirit continued to fight and received strong individual performances throughout the game.

1st quarter (15-17): The opening quarter was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams trading baskets. Brianna Humphries led the Spirit with 6 points, while Tiana Sledge added 4 points and 3 rebounds to help keep OUAZ even early.

2nd quarter (26-34): The Spirit struggled to find their offensive rhythm in the second quarter but remained within striking distance. Sledge contributed 3 points and 2 rebounds as OUAZ worked to stay in the game heading into halftime.

3rd quarter (43-54): OUAZ showed flashes in the third quarter, but La Sierra continued to maintain control. Payton Sheridan led the Spirit with 6 points, Jana Solee added 5, and Sledge finished the period with 5 points and 2 rebounds.

4th quarter (60-76): The Spirit continued to battle in the final quarter, but the deficit proved too much to overcome. Charli Cook provided a spark with 9 points and 4 rebounds, while Sledge closed out the game with 6 points and 6 rebounds.
