Palm Harbor, Fla.- The OUAZ men's and women's golf teams took on strong competition this week at the Invite at Innisbrook, hosted by Dalton State at the Innisbrook Resort Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida.
On the men's side, the Spirit turned in a solid performance, finishing 5th out of 20 teams with a team total of 888 (+36). Tytan Birchell led the way with a tie for 8th after carding a 218 (+5), while Corley McLernon followed closely in a tie for 14th at 220 (+7). Grant Greazel added a 223 (+10) to place 26th, with Nick Erickson (228, +15) tied for 48th and Liam Toole (235, +22) tying for 80th.
The OUAZ women finished 10th out of 14 teams with a score of 950 (+98). Jenney Kim Song paced the team with a tie for 36th at 235 (+22), followed by Jayda Sidney in a tie for 43rd at 237 (+24). Macie Doherty shot 242 (+29) to tie for 52nd, while Chiara Israng (247, +34) and Anne Van Hemert (248, +35) closed out the lineup in 61st and 63rd place.
Both teams will now look to carry the experience from Innisbrook, as they get ready for the OUAZ Fall Invitational this coming week.
