Indianapolis, Ind. – The OUAZ women's soccer team dropped its second match of the opening road trip on Monday, falling 5-0 to No. 11 Marian (Ind.) in non-conference action.
The nationally-ranked Knights struck early and often, building a 3-0 lead by halftime and adding two more in the second half. Despite the scoreline, the Spirit continued to battle throughout the 90 minutes, showing resilience against one of the top teams in the country.
Goalkeeper Jordan Gentile was busy in net for the Spirit, keeping her team in the match with several key stops. She finished the afternoon with eight saves, marking her second straight game with multiple stops.
