Buckeye, Ariz.- The OUAZ men's and women's golf teams wrapped up their fall schedule this week at the Firestorm Fall Invitational, hosted by Arizona Christian University at the Verrado Golf Club in Buckeye, Arizona. Both squads turned in strong team performances to close out the semester.
The OUAZ men's team secured a second-place finish out of 16 teams with a three-under total of 861. Liam Toole continued his standout play, tying for second individually at 211 (-5), while Olivier Van Goor joined him in the top 10 with a tie for sixth at 213 (-3). Nick Erickson (218, +2), Corley McLernon (219, +3), and Grant Greazel (224, +8) rounded out the lineup as the Spirit posted another consistent team effort to remain among the tournament's top contenders.
The women's team finished sixth out of 12 programs with a total of 941 (+77). Freshman Alayna Lekkerkerk led the Spirit with a tie for 13th at 226 (+10), marking her best collegiate finish to date. Jayda Sidney and Chiara Israng each tied for 31st at 239 (+23), followed by Jenney Kim Song (245, +29) and Macie Doherty (246, +30) to complete the scoring.
The Firestorm Fall Invitational marks the conclusion of the Spirit's fall season. OUAZ will resume competition in spring 2026 as both teams look to build on their strong performances to start the year.
