SURPRISE, Ariz. – The Spirit dropped a close 0-1 decision to Soka University of America on Saturday, battling throughout but unable to find the equalizer.
It was a tightly contested matchup from start to finish, with both teams showing strong defensive organization and intensity in midfield. The lone breakthrough came in the 27th minute, when Soka found the back of the net to take a 0-1 lead.
The Spirit continued to fight, creating several scoring opportunities as the match wore on, but couldn't find a way past the Lions' defense. Despite the narrow loss, the effort reflected the team's resilience and competitiveness in a hard-fought GSAC contest.
