SURPRISE, Ariz. — The OUAZ golf programs put together a strong showing at their home event, the OUAZ Fall Invitational, held October 6–7 at Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club. Competing against a solid field, both the men's and women's teams earned top-three finishes, while the men's B-team and women's B-team also delivered solid results, while also getting great experience in competition.
The OUAZ men's A-team placed third of 10 teams with a total score of +16 (880). Leading the way were Grant Greazel and Corley McLernon, who each carded a three-over 219 to tie for 11th place individually. Liam Toole followed close behind at +8 (224), good for a tie for 21st, while Nick Erickson shot +9 (225) and Tytan Birchell rounded out the lineup at +11 (227).
The men's B-team also impressed, finishing fifth of 10 teams at +22 (886). Hayden Hah led the group with a strong +1 (217) to take eighth place, while Zach Frye finished close behind in a tie for ninth at +2 (218). Jan Labonte and Olivier Van Goor posted +8 (224) and +10 (226) respectively, and Ryan Montoya added +15 (231) to complete the team total. Competing as an individual, Tate Brunk finished 49th overall at +23 (239).
On the women's side, the OUAZ women's A-team earned a third-place finish out of eight teams, shooting +57 (921) for the tournament. Chiara Israng led the Spirit with an impressive fourth-place finish at +6 (222), followed by Jayda Sidney in a tie for ninth at +12 (228) and Macie Doherty in 16th at +16 (232). Anne van Hemert and Jenney Kim Song rounded out the lineup with scores of +23 (239) and +36 (252) respectively.
The OUAZ women's B-team gained valuable experience, placing seventh of eight teams with a total of +146 (1010). Rylin Raposas led the way in 35th at +39 (255), followed by Frida Medellin at +45 (261) and Hailey Banes and Halee Sager, who tied for 38th and 40th respectively. Alayna Lekkerkerk posted a strong +18 (234) to tie for 17th as the team's top finisher.
Overall, the Spirit showcased their depth across both programs, with multiple top-10 individual finishes and competitive team results on their home course.
