Surprise, Ariz. – OUAZ Women's Basketball bounced back at home on Thursday night to earn a 64-43 victory over Life Pacific (5-12 OVR, 1-3 GSAC). The win gives the Spirit an overall record of 13-4 on the year, and they are now 3-1 in conference play.
The Spirit's defense played a major role in the victory forcing the Warriors to a 34.9% shooting percentage from the field, 26.3% shooting percentage from three, and 20 turnovers that resulted 27 points for the Spirit. The Spirit's offense had a solid day, shooting 44.2% from the field, and 41.2% from the three-point line. They also got major contributions from the bench who gave them 24 points on the day.
Two Spirit players finished with double-digit points, led by Angel Addleman who put together a 19-point performance, while adding two steals, a block, three rebounds, and six assists on a 53.8% shooting percentage. OUAZ also got contributions from Tiana Sledge, who had a line of 13pts, and 10 rebounds on the night.
The Spirit will finish the week with a home game against Hope International (6-10 OVR, 0-4 GSAC), on Saturday, January 18th at Noon MST.
