PRESCOTT, ARIZ. – The 23rd-ranked OUAZ women's soccer team traveled up north for its first ranked conference matchup of the season. The Spirit took on No. 15 Embry-Riddle, and were unable to take a victory away on Wednesday night.
Chloe Avila had a busy night, making eight saves for the Spirit. Jaden Nelson led the team in shots on goal during its first road conference game in 2024.
"All credit goes to Embry-Riddle," OUAZ head coach Brett Bentley said. "They were highly motivated and organized on both sides of the ball. We will regroup and be better moving forward."
OUAZ will return home to take on The Master's on Friday morning. Kickoff from Spirit Field is set for 8 a.m.
