Wilczek Named NAIA, WGCA First Team All-American; Shoults Earns NAIA Second Team All-American

Two OUAZ women's golf players were recognized this week for their great seasons, as Taylor Wilczek and Maddi Shoults earned All-American honors. Wilczek was named a First Team All-American by the NAIA and the WGCA, while Shoults earned a spot on the NAIA All-American Second Team.

Wilczek was the top player for OUAZ this season, and her fantastic performances were recognized. She posted four wins this season, as well as eight top-3 finishes. Wilczek capped off her amazing debut year with a fifth-place finish at the NAIA National Championship and making the All-Tournament Team.

Shoults put together a solid season, and was awarded with a NAIA Second Team All-American nomination. Shoults won a pair of events during the year and finished in the top 30 of the national individual rankings.

Wilczek and Shoults are the third and fourth players in program history to earn NAIA All-American honors. Wilczek is the first Spirit player to be given a NAIA First Team placement, as well as the first golfer to earn a WGCA All-American nod.
