No. 3 OUAZ Beats Royals on Senior Night

SURPRISE, ARIZ. – The OUAZ men's volleyball team celebrated its Seniors on Friday night as the team nears the end of its home schedule. The final-year players dazzled just like they have all season as the third-ranked Spirit took a four-set victory from Hope International on Friday night.

Addah Nestor and Emery Outin were outstanding, as the pair combined for 25 kills. Nestor had a match-high 13 kills, and Outin recorded 12 to go along with a match-leading 12 digs.

Blake Music had an efficient night attacking, finishing with 14 kills and a .429 attack percentage. Music also had a solo block and three block assists, leading the Spirit who finished with eight total blocks. Seven different players had at least a block assist for the Spirit, which included Ben Wilson and Horatio Maumasi.

Zeo Meyer was driving the Spirit offense once again, finishing with 39 assists. Meyer was not the only one dishing the ball around on Friday for OUAZ, as Jae Hickman finished with nine assists.

The Spirit will play its final home game of the season on Saturday, a pivotal matchup with #2 Vanguard. First serve from Faith Arena is set for 1 p.m.
