#4 OUAZ Stretches Win Streak to 11

SURPRISE, ARIZ. – The fourth-ranked OUAZ men's volleyball team started an important week on Tuesday, hosting Bethel (Ind.) in a midweek matchup. The Spirit cruised through the first two sets, and eventually beat the Pilots in four to extend its winning streak to 11.

OUAZ put together yet another outstanding attacking night, finishing with 52 kills and a .406 hitting percentage. Four different Spirit players had a .470 attack percentage or better, and five different players had at least five kills.

The Spirit had a great effort defensively as well, finishing with five solo blocks and eight total blocks. Blake Music was disruptive at the net all night, finishing with three solo blocks and a block assist.

Emery Outin had a monstrous night, finishing 19 of his 30 attacks with kills and posting a .567 hit percentage. Outin was also a force defensively, finishing with a block solo and two block assists.

Caeden Salmen also had a great attacking night, adding 12 kills to the Spirit attack. Reigning GSAC Attacker of the Week Addah Nestor had five kills on his six attacks for a .833 attack percentage.

Zeo Meyer might find himself back in the national spotlight quickly, as he finished with 42 assists on the night. Meyer also contributed elsewhere on the scoresheet, as he had three kills and a block assist.

The Spirit will now face its biggest challenge yet – a match with defending champions and third-ranked Vanguard. First serve on Friday night in Southern California is set for 8 p.m. AZT.
