In one of the better defensive efforts of the season, the OUAZ women's basketball team fell to Life Pacific on Thursday in Pasadena, California, 56-45.

The Spirit (7-10, 0-10 GSAC) had a bad night shooting, being able to hit on less than 25 percent of their shots.

Marlee Johnson scored 14 points off the bench, hitting two of the team's three shots from downtown.

Tiana Sledge led the team with 12 rebounds in the contest. Sophomore
Brianna Humphries and junior
Cierra Kiser each had six rebounds in the game.

Kiser and Sledge tied for the team lead with four assists each.

The team will now travel just a few miles up Interstate 5 in Southern California to take on The Master's University on Saturday.
