VALLEJO, CALIF. – Just over 24 hours after picking up a win in the season-opener, the OUAZ women's basketball team put together another solid performance to get to 2-0. The Spirit took the lead and never looked back against Cal Maritime as they finished on the right side of a 73-57 final.

For the second straight day, the Spirit ripped up the nets in the first quarter as they made 10 of 18 attempts. OUAZ managed to score 20 points in each of the first three quarters, and finished at a 42.9% clip from behind the three-point line.

Tiana Sledge made the most of her 13 minutes, scoring 16 points and pulling in eight rebounds. Makalya Holthaus also pulled in eight rebounds while contributing 14 points and putting together a perfect performance from the free throw line.

OUAZ dominated the boards, pulling in 54 rebounds to the Keelhaulers' 31. Brianna Humphries led the game for consecutive contests, pulling in nine.

Angel Addleman came very close to a double-double, scoring nine points and dishing out nine assists. The senior also had four rebounds and three steals in the win.

The Spirit will come home for a couple of days and then play NCAA D1 Southern Utah on Wednesday. Tipoff from the America First Events Center in Cedar City is set for 6:30 p.m. AZT.
