Gilbert, ARIZ.- A defensive battle ensued in Gilbert on Saturday evening as the Spirit and Park Gilbert (3-6-2 Overall, 1-4-2 Conference) ended their match in a 1-1 tie. The tie puts the Spirit 5-4-3 on the year and 3-3-2 in conference play.

The Spirit would strike first with a goal by Brooke Bentley (First on the Season) in the 29^th minute of play, assisted by Amanda Witkowski. The Spirit would hold that lead all the way until the 86^th minute of play when the Buccaneers would score a late goal by Emma Alvarez, assisted by Dani Mares. The game would end in a 1-1 tie.
