Women's Water Polo announces 2024 schedule

The OUAZ Women's water polo team has announced their 2024 schedule.

The Spirit will play 21 matches across four tournaments and a single match against Arizona State University.

In 2023, the team went 18-10 and advanced to the championship match at the Inaugural NAIA Women's water polo finals, where they defeated Westcliff University 15-13 to win the title.

Coach Greg Farrier will look to have the ladies return to the peak and win another title this season.

Play gets underway on January 19 when the Santa Barbara Winter Invite opens with four matches across two days on the campus of UC Santa Barbara.  The Arizona State series commences two weeks later with another four games across two days.  The opponents and times for these two tournaments have not been announced as of yet.

The 2024 ASU Invitational, being held at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center on the campus of Arizona State University, will see the Spirit take on UC Santa Barbara, Marist University, San Jose State University, and the hosting Sun Devils.

In the middle of February, the team will travel to St. Paul for the Macalester Invite 2024.  McKendree University, Augustana College, Carthage College, and host Macalester College will be the opponents in the Upper Midwest.

The final weekend of February will see the team travel to Southern California to take on the 2024 Tina Finali Tournament hosted by California Lutheran in Thousand Oaks.  Besides the host Regals, the University of Redlands, Azusa Pacific, and LMU.

Regular season play will wrap up with a single match against the Sun Devils at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.

Teams from around the NAIA will descend on Vallejo, California, specifically the campus of California Maritime for the 2024 NAIA Championships the first weekend of April to determine the National Championship.
