SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ Spirit moved to 12-6, 5-4 on the season after falling to in-state rival Arizona Christian (4-5, 10-9) in four close sets. Despite leading in all statistical categories the Spirit were unable to come away with a win, finishing with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 22-25, 23-25.
Offensively, the Spirit led the way with 64.5 overall points, 56 kills and 53 total assists. 60% of the night's kills came thanks to Emery Outin (20) and Addah Nestor (13), with Blake Music tacking on an extra nine. The night also saw Tyler Gardenhire's fourth highest assist count of the season, finishing with 38, leading the Spirit.
On defense, OUAZ saw four blocks, holding the Firestorm to only 50 kills and a .363 hitting percentage. Collecting 30 digs from six different members, OUAZ was unable to pick up the win.

The Spirit will take on their final conference opponent on Friday, March 24 when they go head to head with the Master's in Santa Clarita, Calif. The matchup will be followed by the final regualr season match against California Lutheran on Saturday, March 25 before heading into postseason play.
