Spirit Split to Finish the Regular Season

The OUAZ Spirit (13-7, 5-5) split their final two matches of the regular season against the Master's and California Lutheran ahead of next week's GSAC Men's Volleyball Tournament.

GAME ONE: OUAZ 0, Master's 3
In the final conference match of the season the Spirit were swept by the Masters, 25-21, 25-22, 25-16.

Despite pulling a 3-1 win over the conference opponent earlier in the season, OUAZ was unable to come away with a win.

33 kills, 33 assists and 24 digs highlighted the Spirit's performance with Emery Outin, Tyler Gardenhire and Blake Music putting up big nights in Santa Clarita.

GAME TWO: OUAZ 3, Cal Lutheran 1
The Spirit's second game of the weekend proved to be a winner, as they finished their regular season with a 3-1 take down of Cal Lutheran with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18.

After falling in set one the Spirit were determined to make the next three sets count, not allowing their opponent to higher hitting percentages than .320 and only allowing double digits kills on one occasion.

Quaid King led the way in kills, making 16 on the day, with Emery Outin (13) and Matt Beard (10) following closely behind.

Tyler Gardenhire posted an impressive 41 assists against the Kingsmen, whilst also tacking on four digs and three blocks.
