SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ Men's Volleyball team (11-4, 4-2) extended their win streak to four after taking down Viterbo 3-1 at home. The Spirit kept things close with finishing set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 27-25, 25-22.
Addah Nestor was the star of the night, taking over offensive detail from Emery Outin and Tyler Gardenhire who both sat out against the V-Hawks. Nestor earned a career high 28 kills, earning him the most single match kills in the GSAC this season. Taking 43 overall attempts, Nestor hit a .512, putting up two assists, four blocks, 12 digs and 30.5 points in the process.
Caeden Salmen had a career high 10 kills on the night while also having the second most digs of the game, making the most points after Nestor (10.5). Salmen was the only other player to reach double digit kills and points.
As a whole the Spirit put up the fifth most single-game kills in the GSAC this season and their third highest this season (60). They now sit at second in the Conference in overall kills, second only to Vanguard.
GSAC Setter of the Week Carson Mott set a new career high, making 49 assists, the second most in the GSAC this season. Mott also picked up two kills and eight digs to finish his night.
Though the Spirit did not have their best defensive performance they still put up six blocks and held their opponent to .203 hitting, only allowing them 57 points.

The Spirit will resume Conference play this weekend when they take on Vanguard and Hope International on Friday and Saturday. Men's Volleyball will be back in Faith Arena on Friday, Feb. 17 at 6:00 PM to face Vanguard.
