SURPRISE, Ariz. – The No. 4 OUAZ Men's Volleyball team earned a win at Faith Arena for the first time since late February, after a five game road streak. Taking on the No. 7 Georgetown Tigers for the first time in program history, the Spirit pulled out 17-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-22 set scores, earning the win at home.
Hitting above .350 for the eighth time this season, the Spirit had 55 kills off of their fourth most attempts of the season (116).
Their fourth most kills of the season were headlined by Addah Nestor (14), Emery Outin (11) and Tyler Gardenhire (10), all reaching double digits. Nestor's tally was his highest of the season, hitting .500, picking up a single block, three digs and 15 points.
Gardenhire and Chase Marcy had expert serving nights, with Gardenhire having three aces and Marcy having two back-to-back aces in the first set.
This week's GSAC Setter of the Week, Carson Mott, lived up to his titles making 36 assists on the night, falling just 5 short of his career high (41).
On the block, the Spirit came out with 10 made up from four separate players including NCCAA Men's Volleyball Player of the Week Emery Outin who picked up four big blocks on the night.
The win signified the Spirit's third in the row and the start of their four game home series.

The Spirit will be back tomorrow, Wednesday March 15 at 6:00PM to take on Viterbo. They will then pick back up in conference play against Vanguard and Hope International on Friday and Saturday.
