Box Score Surprise Ariz. – OUAZ Men's Tennis kicked off their Wednesday afternoon against UC Riverside. It was a tough battle throughout but the Spirit lost 4-0.
 
Sophomore Goor Adiv and Junior Ginamarco Pittoti had a close doubles match but ultimately fell 6-4, Sean Milshteen and Noah Koereessy also hung in there for their doubles match but fell by the same score as their teammates.
 
Coach Sam Murphy stated after the match, "Diving right into the season with a tough Division 1 team is never an easy task, but I was very impressed with how the team performed. We were very close to getting the doubles point and I saw a lot of promise in the singles matches. I think we're all hungry to get back out there and are looking forward to our scrimmage on Saturday."
 
OUAZ Tennis is back in action next Friday against Western New Mexico at 4:00 pm MST at the Paseo Tennis Center in Glendale.
