Surprise, Arizona – OUAZ softball (11-7) dropped both of their games today against Park Gilbert (5-4). These losses snapped the Spirit's eight-game winning streak heading into today.
GAME ONE
Ally McCutcheon and Park Gilberts starter in game one, Mariah Martinez, had a great pitcher's duel going on a good portion of the game. Totaling just eight hits and three runs in the game, these two had all the right stuff working for them. McCutcheon would go on to surrender just two earned runs, on four hits, and seven strikeouts while going the distance. Martinez threw 6.2 innings while allowing no runs en route to earning picking up the win. The final was 3-0.
GAME TWO
The Spirit took themselves out of the second contest when they committed six errors and loss by the score of 10-2. They scored their lone runs off a
Mashayla Beltran inside the park homerun.

OUAZ will be back in action next Friday when they take on Bethel, in Tucson at Lincoln Park.
