Encinitas, Calif. – The OUAZ Men's Volleyball team (2-0) had a dominant performance over Saint Katherine Friday evening in their first road match of the season. They swept in three sets by the scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-17. 

The Spirit outperformed the Firebirds in all offensive and defensive categories with differentials in points (52-24), kills (34-19), blocks (9-2) and assists (33-18) being the most notable categorical leads. In the end, all three sets saw a Spirit breakaway with the opponent's under 10 points. 

In the superb team outing, Matt Beard led the way for the Spirit with 11 kills and a .667 kill percentage. Blake Music had a perfect hit percentage, totaling six kills in total. OUAZ tallied 34 kills as a team and had a .446 kill percentage.
