Spirit Keep Rolling with Sweep of ACU

SURPRISE, Ariz. – After moving to its highest ranking in program history earlier in the day, the No. 2 OUAZ men's volleyball team extended its winning streak to 12 with a 3-0 sweep of Arizona Christian on Wednesday in Faith Arena.

The potent OUAZ (17-1, 6-0 GSAC) attack was on display again in the 25-19, 25-20, 29-27 results. The Spirit hit .435 with 50 kills for the sixth match this season with at least 50 kills, and the fifth time they have hit above .400. OUAZ got to those totals with at least 15 kills in each set, and they hit .472 in the first set and .433 in the third.

On the defensive side, the Spirit held Arizona Christian (2-7, 0-6) to 42 kills on .250 hitting. OUAZ recorded 10.5 blocks and 21 digs.

Emery Outin led the Spirit with 13 kills while adding two digs, two blocks, and an ace. Jordan Moses finished with 11 kills and four digs. Colin Donisthorpe added eight kills and seven blocks.

Quaid King led OUAZ with six digs, and Tyler Gardenhire had 37 assists.

OUAZ returns to Faith Arena on Thursday with a 6 p.m. match against Pacific Union.
