OUAZ Completes Season Sweep of Pacific Union

SURPRISE, Ariz. – The No. 2 OUAZ men's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 sweep against Pacific Union on Thursday night at Faith Arena to complete a season sweep of the Pioneers.

OUAZ (18-1) won its 13th straight match by scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-16. The Spirit has also won 13 consecutive matches in Faith Arena dating back to the 2020 season.

Brenden Hardt led the Spirit on Thursday with eight kills on 10 attempts for a .800 attack percentage. Conner Duyck, Chase Marcy, and Matt Beard totaled seven kills apiece. Duyck added two aces and four blocks.

OUAZ hit .411 for the match with a 41-20 edge in kills. They held Pacific Union (0-11) to .029 hitting overall and negative-.192 in the third set. The Spirit recorded 28 digs and six blocks.

Another home match is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. when the Spirit host Simpson in Faith Arena.
