OUAZ Suffers First Conference Loss at Westmont

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The OUAZ men's tennis team lost its first GSAC match of the season on Friday as Westmont defeated the Spirit 4-3.

OUAZ (5-4, 2-1 GSAC) dropped the doubles points as they only got a 6-1 win from Goor Adiv and Gianmarco Pitotti in the No. 3 match.

Liam Spiers won the No. 2 singles 7-5, 6-1, and Bryce Bodak took the No. 3 singles 6-4, 7-6 (3). The Spirit's third point came from Michael Loyd winning the No. 5 singles 6-0, 6-1.

With the match tied at 3-3, the No. 1 singles went to Westmont's Logan Thompson in a third-set tiebreak, 11-9.

OUAZ will look to bounce back on Saturday when they face Marymount California.
