Anderson Leads Spirit to Road Win at LPU

SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Behind a career-high 26 points from Sedona Anderson, the OUAZ women's basketball team defeated Life Pacific 73-60 on Thursday night to snap a 14-game road losing streak that dated back to the 2019-20 season.

Anderson finished 8 of 11 from the field and hit 7 of 9 from beyond the arc. The seven made threes are the second-most by a player in a game in program history. Her first six made baskets were all first-half triples. Anderson also grabbed five rebounds and had three assists and two steals.

OUAZ (6-16, 3-11 GSAC) trailed 14-12 when Anderson hit her first three with 2:35 to play in the first quarter. That put the Spirit in front for good and ignited a 20-5 run over the next seven minutes. Life Pacific (1-21, 0-13) could only get as close as eight the rest of the night.

Cierra Kiser added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Spirit.

On Saturday, the Spirit will close this road trip when they face Vanguard at 1 p.m. (AZ) in Costa Mesa, California.
