No. 6 OUAZ Sweeps Pioneers to Open Road Trip

ANGWIN, Calif. – One day after climbing to its highest-ever ranking in the NAIA Coaches Poll, the sixth-ranked OUAZ men's volleyball team made quick work of Pacific Union in a 3-0 sweep.

OUAZ (13-1) dominated on both sides of the net in the 25-20, 25-10, 25-11 win. The Spirit held a 29-13 advantage in kills while hitting .595. They held Pacific Union (0-6) to negative-.156 hitting with the Pioneers hitting negative in all three sets.

Tyler Gardenhire led the Spirit with seven kills, and he hit .875. Chase Marcy added six kills, with Addah Nestor and Conner Duyck posting five each.

OUAZ finished with 15 service aces, with Duyck and Brenden Hardt notching four apiece.

Now riding an eight-match winning streak, OUAZ will face No. 3 Menlo on Friday at 7 p.m. (AZ) in Atherton.
