OUAZ Struggles with Oaks

SURPRISE, Ariz. – In its penultimate home game of the season, the OUAZ women's basketball team fell to Menlo 73-35 on Thursday evening at Faith Arena.
 
OUAZ (6-18, 3-13 GSAC) never got on track offensively as they had just 10 made field goals – only three in the second half – as the Spirit shot 16.1 percent from the floor. Menlo (14-9, 9-6) countered with 47.0 percent shooting and 44 points in the paint.
 
Makayla Holthaus scored 10 points to lead the Spirit with her 10th game in double figures this season. Jayla Jones grabbed a team-high five rebounds.
 
The Spirit will play at home for the final time this season on Saturday when they host William Jessup at 11 a.m.
