Volleyball Begins Road Stretch with Sweep at Menlo

ATHERTON, Calif. – The first match of a five-match road swing saw No. 20 OUAZ pick up a 3-0 sweep over Menlo College on Friday evening at Haynes-Prim Pavilion. The 25-20, 25-10, 25-14 win is the first-ever over Menlo on the Oaks' home court.

OUAZ (11-1, 4-0 GSAC) only trailed for two points at the beginning of the second set and played much of the match with a comfortable lead. The Spirit needed just 32 kills to secure the win as they delivered a season-high 15 service aces while forcing Menlo (2-7, 0-4) into 21 hitting errors.

Kate Pestova led the Spirit with eight kills on .304 hitting. This was the first match of her OUAZ career that she didn't record double figures in kills, snapping a streak of 27 consecutive outings. Pestova took just 23 attacks, and she added eight digs and three aces.
