OUAZ Drops Series Finale at OLLU

SAN ANTONIO – In the final game of its four-game series with Our Lady of the Lake, the OUAZ baseball team fell behind early and couldn't recover as the lost by a score of 6-3.
 
OUAZ (8-10) managed just two of its six hits in the first five innings and trailed 6-1 through five innings. The Spirit held OLLU (7-8) scoreless the rest of the game but could only score twice themselves in defeat.
 
Elijah Celaya recorded three of the team's hits with a triple, a run scored, and an RBI. Jacob Griffin drew a bases loaded walk in the sixth inning for the only other RBI from the Spirit.
 
Jeffrey Gehr (0-1) took the loss by allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits in two innings. Craig Sullivan, Tommy Koloski, and Tanner Fallon each threw one scoreless inning.
 
OUAZ will continue its trip to Texas with a game at Houston-Victoria on Monday at 11 a.m. (AZ).
