Shooting Struggles Continue in Loss to Hawks

SURPRISE, ARIZ. - For the third consecutive contest, the OUAZ women's basketball team shot under 27% from the field as they lost to San Diego Christian College 57-49 on Friday night. This is the eighth consecutive conference loss dating back to last season.

Natasa Radovic lead the team in scoring, putting through 16 points, going 2-3 behind the arc and staying perfect at the free throw line. She also had 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.

Makayla Holthaus put together the best game of her young college career. She had 12 points and six rebounds in 24 minutes, all season highs.

The Hawks did not put together a much better shooting performance, shooting 30% from the floor (18-60). SDCC did have nine of its 10 players score at least two points, led by Keren Hogue's 12.

The Spirit will have a chance to split the series with the Hawks on Saturday morning. Tip-off is 11:30 a.m., and fans will not be allowed at Faith Arena for the contest.
