Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

No. 2 Warriors Overpower Spirit

SURPRISE, Ariz. – The OUAZ women's basketball team didn't have many answers for No. 2 Westmont on Saturday as they were defeated 86-33 in Golden State Athletic Conference play at Faith Arena.

OUAZ (1-8, 0-4 GSAC) trailed the entire game as they shot 21.6 percent from the field. Westmont (8-1, 2-1) countered with 45.5 percent shooting while holding a 50-14 edge in paint points. The visiting Warriors also took advantage of 19 Spirit turnovers by converting them into 25 points.

Cierra Kiser scored seven points to lead the Spirit. She also had a team-high five rebounds. Sedona Anderson added six points and two steals.

Stefanie Berberabe led Westmont with 21 points and seven assists.

OUAZ will be back in action on Thursday when they host Arizona Christian in Faith Arena at 5 p.m.
